Pergola Builders in Colorado

A pergola is an open frame of posts and beams, often set over a patio or a deck. The companies below build or install pergolas, according to their own websites or Google Maps listings. Many of them are deck builders that add a pergola to a new or existing deck.

Permit rules depend on the city. In Denver, covered patios, porches, carports and pergolas need both a zoning permit and a building permit. Anywhere else, call your city or county building department before you sign, and ask the builder who pulls the permit.

Pergola posts are set in the ground, and Colorado law requires contacting Colorado 811 at least three business days before you dig. The locate is free and marks public lines, but not privately owned ones. Ask each builder which materials it uses, whether it matches the pergola to your deck, and what its warranty covers.
